606. WITHOUT "SOCIALISM" AS TARGET, MARXIST IDEOLOGY CANNOT EXIST.
//
COMMUNIST MOVEMENTS IN INDIA WILL NOT EXIST WITHOUT "SOCIALIST INDIA" AS "PARTY PROGRAM "
The
ideas of "Marxism" presented by the great Karl Marx can be fully
accepted or completely rejected. Otherwise, Marx's name and some parts
of Marxism cannot be accepted as just that. The reason is that what
exists is the class rule of the exploiting classes, and that it must be
abolished and the goal of a socialist system in which all people can
live happily should be accepted. If we do not accept this, it only means
that we do not accept Marxism.
//
When there was a dispute over accepting "SOCIALISM" as "Party Program", as pro-revolutionary Russia was industrially backward, Lenin said that not accepting SOCIALISM would only bury "Marxist ideology". The reason was if SOCIALISM not the target, Marxist ideology cannot exist, because it is the weapon of the working class' for establishing "socialism." That' is the reason to write the work "What should be done?". That's where the relevance of socialist ideology should not be underestimated even a little bit. The acceptance of Lenin's words in Russia led to the formation of the Soviet Union, which helped spread socialism throughout the world. What Lenin pointed out happened in India. Lenin
said that if socialism is not accepted, Marxist ideology will only be
buried, which is exactly what happened in India. That is what happened
when the late General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the Communist
Party, with its hundred-year history, cannot save a country; only the
bourgeois party called the Indian National Congress can. The philosophy
of Marxism has completely disappeared. Despite claiming a hundred years of history, no one knows what the Marxist ideology as.since 1950s in India, the goal of promoting capitalism has been adopted for over 75 years, and no one has known the true Marxist ideas.
//
The most unfortunate fact is that in the 1950s, it was decided to promote Indian Capitalism. It is a completely anti-Marxist stance; the Communist leadership in India is not convinced that it is a complete rejection of Marxism, even after 75 years since 1950. They are not ready to recognize the fact that Marx's fundamental discovery; that the "STATE" came into being during the time of slavery to legalize the slave system and protect the wealth of the wealthy. The Communist leadership in India also fails to understand that the "state" has always been an "instrument of oppression" for the wealthy classes to oppress the poor and the former slaves. It does not accept that the wealth of the wealthy classes is created by exploiting the labor power of the working class. It does not accept that the goal of Marxism is a system free of exploitation. There is no question of abandoning Indian capitalism in any way. Even after 75 long years, it is still not understood that the Communist Party is now strengthening its power to further exploit the working class's labor power; it will never have the cooperation of the working class. The communist leadership in India is also not convinced that a stance in favor of Indian Corporates is a stance in favor of the Hindutva BJP. It is also not convincing that it is giving more and more strength to Narendra Modi.
//
Research
is being conducted at "AKG Study and Research Centers" across India
under the leadership of former PB members of the CPI(M) for the "free
growth of capitalist society." Their observations prove that the
Narendra Modi-BJP Government's handover of all public sector
enterprises to private Corporates is absolutely essential for the
free growth of capitalist society. Another of their findings is that
the Hindutva BJP is not "fascist". It will certainly help increase the
votes of the Sangh Parivar. These are all indications that the CPI(M)
party program will never change.
//
Promoting
capitalism means completely abandoning Marxist economy, including
Marx's theory of "surplus value." The great work of Marx, Das "Capital"
was written to teach the exploitation of labor power experienced by the
working class. But when capitalism is promoted, it is impossible to
teach about exploitation in party classes. When hearing how distorted it
is to take classes on Marx's "economics", any one will understand. You can't
teach "surplus value" without talking about production value. A comrade
in Bengal commented on an English post about surplus value, saying that
there is no such thing as production value. In effect, party classes
will become mere ceremonies. And that for a very long time (from the
1950s to 75 years). In such a situation, it is natural that no one,
including the Politburo members, knows what Marxism is. No one knows
what is its purpose of taught; why it is taught. The basic issue is that
exploitation is encouraged instead of eliminated. Disciplined party
comrades are cooperative in everything. What happens in effect is that
party classes become useless. Those who receive party class have
nothing to say to others. Real Marxism cannot be taught or preached
while capitalism is being promoted. Only through eliminating the
ideology MARXISM, capitalism can be promoted. That is going on for a
very long period. If we say that the "surplus value" in public sector
enterprises goes to the state, or that the public sector is the
foundation of the socialist system, neither the P B Members nor anybody
will understand. Because nobody knows anything except promoting
capitalism.
//
I,
Harihara Kurup, who am writing this, became a part of CPI politics in
1969 for the socialist system. The reason was that I happened to hear
Comrade Vazhithala Bhaskaran, a leader of the early Communist Party,
discuss the advantages of the socialist system and the disadvantages of
the capitalist system at an AIYF meeting. Capitalism is based only on
profit. Capitalism is not interested where there is no profit.
Agriculture, which is the
most important need of man, should not be done for profit. Everyone
needs education. That too should not be seen as profit-oriented. Health
and treatment should not be based solely on profit. But only after a few
years did we realize that CPI politics was not what Comrade Vazhithala
Bhaskaran had said at the time. (The topic of Comrade Vazhithala
Bhaskaran's speech then was what early Communist politics were. But no
one want to restore what was the politics of early stage of Communist
movement.) I became a part of CPI(M) politics since 1985, thinking that
India's path to socialism is the "people's democratic revolution" of the
CPI(M) with the vision of a state led decisively by the working class .
It was only in 2002 that I learned through a party class that the
"viewpoint" of the CPI(M) was to promote capitalism. Things changed completely when the party program became "the free development of capitalist society." Since 2002, there
have been continuous petitions demanding that promoting capitalism is
not Marxism; socialism should become the party program. But the
Communist Party leadership is not convinced that just a few words are
based on Marxism. Sixteen years in CPI politics and over forty years in
CPI(M) politics. Anyone only can become a Communikst Party member. It is the Party decides how he should work in the party. The communist leadership in India is not ready to
accept a socialist India as the party's program. Just as believers in
God talk about "moksha" in the afterlife, Communist leaders occasionally
talk about socialism, not because they accept it as a political goal.
They can't convince that while promoting capitalism; never reach in
socialism and strengthening bourgeois only wipe out Communist politics
in India. Harihara Kurup, now 75 years old, aims to have the Communist
parties in India accept socialism as a party program, at least before
his death. Since the Indian Constitution also recognizes socialism, the
Communist parties in India only need to take a political decision. The
need of the hour is to correct the mistake happened during 1950s.
//
The
content in Harihara Kurup's posts is not copied from anywhere else.
The point is to understand the facts of anything as soon as he hear it.
The entire party should examine things including Marx's law of motion.
They should also reach comrades who cannot access social media. But the
CPI(M) comrades who should be checking whether they are facts do not
seem to have noticed them. The party has repeatedly requested that they
all be examined and that if any mistakes are pointed out, they will
certainly be corrected. If they are facts, they can be translated into
other Indian languages. But it is not known whether any of them have
come to the attention of the CPI(M) Politburo or the Central Committee
comrades. They fail to realize that their contents affect over 140
Crores Indian people.
//
It is not too late to forget that a few years ago, a CPI(M) Politburo member said that materialism and conflict-based materialism were not applicable to India, and another Politburo member confirmed it. Marxist ideas are fully present in it. The Communist Party (Marxist) leadership still does not realize the tragedy of a failed state that occurred 75 years after 1950, when socialism was abandoned and the exploiting classes were strengthened. The Communist movement and Marxist ideology are becoming alienated from the political sphere because socialism is not accepted as a goal. The CPI(M) Politburo is burying Marxist ideology by not accepting "socialism" as a goal in India. Even though the Sangh Parivar, which had just two members in Indian Parliament in the 1950s, has become the ruling party in India, the CPI(M) is not ready to accept the political goal of a socialist system.
//
The
statement made by CPI(M) PB member Com. M.V. Govindan that "the
dialectical materialism based on contradictions is not applicable to
India" is also relevant in the context of Class Contradictions. That is
the meaning of the position that there are no permanent class enemies.
Class "CONTRADICTIONS" are the causes of "CLASS STRUGGLE". Without
understanding "DIALECTICAL MATERIALISM" even the top leaders of the
Party, it is impossible to implement in the working class movement.
//
Karl
Marx could understood the contradictions in the interests between the
slave and the master and between the worker and the employer. Without
understanding the living circumstances which the "slaves" were suffered
in "SLAVERY PERIOD", nobody could grasp the "contradictions" between the
"SLAVE AND THE MASTER". Karl Marx could understood the power when
working class all over the world gathering together, so Marx exhorted
the world working class: "Unite, you have nothing to lose, but you have a
great world to gain." But unfortunately, for a hundred years since
working, the "communist" leaders in India do not seem to understand it.
When Capitalism promotes, actually promoting slave owners; and their
successors; Exploitative classes are now encouraged; which couldn't
understood the so called Marxists K Damodaran; E M S; it remains a great
mystery that no one, including K Damodaran and EMS, understood and
still does not understand the theory of class struggle totally
neglecting in effect. Any idea, any tool will be useful only for
actually what it is intended. Marxism will not work if it is used
against the working class and common peoples. That is happening in India
since 1950s. Attempts to promote capitalism means only to exploit
working class and common peoples more and more. Kindly do justice even
to Karl Marx, who spent his entire life only for working class and
eradicate capitalist form of exploitation otherwise at least avoid using
his photo
.//
Marx's
findings that all recorded history is the history of class
struggles, like all other Marxist ideas, has been misunderstood by the
Communist leadership in India since the 1950s. It has a history dating
back to the slave revolt "led by Spartacus" in ancient Rome. It can
also be described as the terror of evil against goodness. The
poisoning of Socrates, the crucifixion of Jesus who stood against
injustice, and the Brahminical rule in India are part of it. Part of
this was the extermination of the Red Indians, the original inhabitants
of America, and the enslavement of black people in Africa, which was
carried out throughout the world. The atrocities committed by the
Aryans in India against the Dravidians, who were the first inhabitants
of India, and the ongoing violence against the backward classes are part
of the class struggle. Unfortunately, the Communist leadership in
India is not ready to accept any of that. That is the basis of their
position that there should be no change in the "free development of
capitalist society"
//
Economic exploitation and spiritual
exploitation are part of capitalist exploitation. "Materialism and
contradictory materialism" are to combat spiritual exploitation. None
of that will apply to India as long as the stance of promoting
capitalism continues. The CPI(M) Politburo is moving towards that goal
by eliminating the Hindutva BJP and reinstating the Indian National
Congress in power in India.
//
The experience of the 75 years since the 1950s proves that it was the position of the undivided communist movement in India since 1950s that materialism and contradictory materialism were not applicable to India. Even though there were a split in the undivided Communist Party, in promoting CLASS ENEMIES they were one. Promoting capitalism means promoting exploitation. It just means not accepting Marxism. Because the ideology of Marxism was formed only for a social system free of exploitation. Political parties that do not accept a social system free of exploitation or a socialist system, no matter what their name, are all petty bourgeois parties.
THOSE HAPPENINGS TO THE COMMUNIST MOVEMENTS IN INDIA
/
The first proof that the Communist parties in India have no idea what Marxism is their decision to promote capitalism in 1950s.. Marxism is a philosophy that was formed to liberate humanity from capitalist exploitation. Another one said that "materialism and dialectical materialism are not applicable to India." "Materialism and dialectical materialism are simply Marx's method of scientifically examining social issues. If it is stated in terms of principles, not everyone will understand it. If it is stated simply, everyone will understand it. It is the law of nature that there is unity and struggle between opposites. If there is birth, there is death. Income and expenditure. Ascent and descent. Addition and subtraction. Some people say that all of that doesn't apply to India.
//
A few years ago, former Politburo member Comrade S. Ramachandran Pillai once said, "Marxism is not something to be preached about; it is something to be done in action." Only he knows what that comrade meant. Maybe
all he's heard of Marxism is about "the dictatorship of the
proletariat." That's not part of Marxism. It is part of the armed
revolution that is relevant only in a monarchy. In a democracy, every
citizen has political power. All they need to do is teach them what
socialism is. Every citizen has the freedom to make decisions. The
majority of citizens decide matters there. The CPI(M)'s 24th Party
Congress has decided that it will never be given a chance. It is true that no one says anything about Marxism. It is true that since the 1950s, when we decided to promote capitalism, we have been unable to tell anyone anything about an exploitation-free social system. It should also be remembered that a senior CPI leader, Panniyan Raveendran, once said, "We should be proud of our glorious Indian culture of Sanadhan." When it was decided to hand over the governance of India to the Indian National Congress again after the 24th CPI(M) Party Congress, the communist leaders in India understand nothing about Marxism except the name Karl Marx. All of this must be put together to examine what Comrade S. Ramachandran Pillai said, "Marxism is not something to be preached about; it is something to be demonstrated in action. I
don't know if Comrade S. Ramachandran Pillai has heard of Karl Marx's
famous work "Capital". In that three-part work, examines the
exploitation of labor power experienced by the working class. When
decided to promote capitalism, they were told not to tell anyone about
Marx's Capital. Always Party Classes are giving only avoiding the word
"exploitation". The current situation is such that at no time in the
future will it be possible to talk about Marx's Capital and the
exploitation of labor power experienced by the working class. But when
admitting SOCIALISM as Party Program, there are so much to tell to
working class about Das KAPITAL
//
The "broad secular alliance" decided by the CPI(M)'s 24th Party Congress was a decision made solely because of a complete lack of knowledge of what Marxism is and what working-class politics is. The same positions were taken at the past 22nd and 23rd Party Congresses. The 24th Party Congress decision is proof that they don't know what the Indian National Congress is; they don't know what Marxism is; and they have absolutely no common sense. Anyone with common sense will understand that there is no remote possibility that this will succeed. The basic issue is the lack of knowledge about what Hindutva BJP is. And the thought that no matter what, it is not a problem for them. The basic approach is that the Communist movement in India should be completely eliminated.
//
Farmers in India waged a fierce strike that lasted for over a year. The fact that over a thousand farmers committed suicide during that strike is a testament to how intense the strike was. Agricultural produce should get a fair price. That is the need of farmers and agricultural workers. The Indian National Congress has ruled India for more than 65 years. It
is only foolishness that the leaders of "Indian Communist Movements"
are waiting for five years / 50 years so that the menace of
HINDHUTHWA TERRORISTS END to ask for VOTE to establish SOCIALISM in
India. They want self confidence to establish socialism in India is actual fact due to ignorance of MARXISM. The Communist Party leadership does not realize that no matter how long the Hindutva or Indian National Congress rule, the problems of farmers and agricultural workers will not be solved. For that to happen, there must be political change in India; there must be a working class government that accepts Marxism. No matter how many times we appeal to the Communist leadership to ask the people to vote for a socialist system, they will not understand. The basic issue is that Communist leaders do not understand what Marxism is. The issue facing the Indian people is that the Communist leadership in India must be convinced that the fundamental base of Marxism is humanity; all those with goodness in mind will vote for Socialist India.
//
The philosophy of "Marxism" is formed only for the liberation of those who work in the world and have to experience poverty and suffering throughout their lives. That is not a neutral philosophy. It exists only for the interests of the working class. What happened in the 1950s when they decided to promote Indian capitalism was that it was completely subverted. The decision that the party's leadership should come from those coming through student organizations came about when the interests of the working class were undermined. When the party's policy became to promote capitalism, all ties with the working class ended. Now the labor organizations are just "feeder organizations." The goal is the free growth of capitalist society. It is now impossible to correct that. It is a wonder that Harihara Kurup, who says that the Communist Party cannot exist without changing its stance, is still alive. It is now impossible to correct that. That is why it is impossible to say what the future of the communist movement in India will be. It is impossible to reach the heights of the Communist movement through higher education except for those with relatively high economic means. That means that the basic goal of Marxism will continue to be subverted. That is the meaning of the stance that the "party program" will never change.
//
Words and ideas like Communism, Marxism, and Socialism emerged in the world in the mid-19th century. That time was a time when monarchies were strong all over the world. At that time, India was under the rule of the English East India Company. Socialism was not established anywhere in the world during the lifetime of Marx and Engels. It was only in 1917 that the Soviet Union was established through the October Revolution. That too disappeared in 1991. There are many words that were created as part of the formation of Marxism. Capitalism; Socialism; Communism; Classes; Class struggle; Class enemies; Working class dictatorship; exploitation; a Social system free of exploitation; Class contradictions; Materialism based on contradictions, etc., are all part of it. They all involve complex ideas. The leaders of the Communist movement are those who keep words to themselves without understanding any of the ideas. No one is to blame for that. But what is happening in India now is that those words are destroying the very life goals of the great Karl Marx, who formulated the ideology of Marxism in the world.//
Many of the things that are put forward as alternatives to the existing system in the world are purely imaginary. One of them is a classless social system. A classless social system is a reality to some extent in a monarchy. Because basically everyone is human. Among humans, there will be those who want the overall good of society without selfishness, and those who are completely selfish and harm society. It doesn't matter if anyone rich or poor. Engels, Marx's greatest supporter, was a businessman. There are many such people in history. It is also a fact that even though corruption is severely punished in socialist China, corrupt people still exist. But the reality is that everyone is human; the vast majority of people want a situation where everyone can live happily. That's what happens in socialism.
//
The CPI(M) is currently moving forward in India without knowing anything about Marxism, capitalism, or India's federal system of government. If the real goal is the free growth of capitalism, there should be no Communist Party (that is what is being done at all party congresses; to eliminate the party). If we accept Marxism, we cannot work for capitalism. What is relevant here is what capitalism is. The issue is that there needs to be a change in the perceptions that have existed for ages. Capitalism is not private ownership of any institution. The word true capitalism means the domination of money or the domination of capitalists. At present in India; the wishes of Corporates will become Govt. orders and in return, Corporates will pay as much as money they want. That is truly the rule of money. No one disputes that this is not the politics of the CPI(M). Simply put, capitalism is the politics of the exploiting classes, run by the Congress and the BJP, that robs the people. There will be corruption; communalism; looting of public property. Capitalism is a continuation of the rule of feudal lords in the old monarchy. Although China allows the private sector, money is not the basis of politics.
//
Struggle every year, not against anyone; not for anyone; without any target. Even if the CPI(M) Politburo decides that there are no class enemies, all the reactionary forces in the world will use all their abilities to ensure that the Communist Party does not exist. But the CPI(M) Politburo will not understand that in any way. The situation of no class enemies is what happened when decided to promote capitalism. That is also the reality of the position of bringing the Indian National Congress back to power in India. On the occasion of the 18th Party Congress, the CPI(M)'s stance was that the Congress and the BJP are two sides of the same coin. The issue is not who has the political leadership for the Indian exploiting classes. Their interests must be protected. For that, Congress and BJP are acceptable to them. But they cannot accept the Communist leadership in any way. Against to whom the strike on May 20, 2025? Against the exploitative class rule? No. For a socialist system? No. To say it mildly, it is only apolitical. The farmers' life-and-death struggle lasted for more than a year; more than a thousand farmers committed suicide. There was no political objective. Or it was not against the rule of the exploiting class. There was no goal of a socialist system. What was the achievement of that struggle? But if the party had had a goal of a socialist system, that struggle would have been an issue in the elections that followed. Still, things are not changing. Not saying a single word against the privatization of public sectors by Hindutva activists means giving them full support.
They are sustained by Corporates of India. Promoting capitalism means promoting Corporates; it is against the working class. In all the years that have passed, strikes like this have been going on without any political benefit to anyone. The same thing will continue to happen in the future as well. No one can convince the CPI(M) Politburo that neither the Indian National Congress nor the Hindutva BJP can save Indian Farmers and Agricultural workers without political change in India.
//
Materialism means that the basis of everything is physical objects or material substances. Marxism was formed to eliminate the economic and spiritual exploitation experienced by humanity. The basis of the spiritual argument is that the basis of everything is "SOUL" or idea (GOD). Marx proved that the "SOUL" only an idea. The beginning of the "Manusmriti", the basic text of the Brahmins, states that the "Holy Spirit" (God) placed the semen in the water. All religions consider God as the "Holy Spirit." All religions hold that the "Holy Spirit" came into being by itself. But the great Karl Marx pointed out that "no idea" can arise from a vacuum. No idea can exist except as the result of the thought of someone's biological substance "brain." The history of humans begins in the Paleolithic Age, and the idea of God is just one of many ideas that have emerged over millions of years as human civilization has evolved. Mathematics is an ocean of ideas. All knowledge is ideas. All of them are ideas that are the result of the thinking of people with extraordinary intelligence.
THE QUESTION IS THAT HOW THESE FACTS BECOME IRRELEVANT TO INDIA? IGNORANCE OR INCAPABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THINGS WILL BECOME IRRELEVANT?
